More about Austin
Think of this as a little FAQ.
I like to keep myself busy, and I thrive in it
Over the past couple of years, I've carved my way to be part of large decisions that affect the trajectory of products. At the end of the day, I just want to make things easier, better, faster, and more fun to use.
I'm a great partner to have at the table
I work deeply with teams to get to the root ask and the simple idea to begin from. I approach everything with a huge lens; then I zoom in. I follow the ethos of going through a thousand nos toward a single yes. I’ve never had a project be a non-starter.
My brain is wired to solve complex problems through code
I love web and app development. You're reading this on a great example of my passion for it. It's been my background before I began my design career and is something I've continued to practice and explore along the way. I can be your software engineer's favorite designer.
Photography is my love language
I'm following in my grandfather's footsteps and always carry a camera around. My work encompasses action sports, landscape, street and vehicles. My work has been displayed in a few galleries around Boston too. I always find it to be an incredible creative outlet with some fun challenges.
I like to explore through history
When I lived in Boston, I attended community meetings for the historical society, volunteered at Boston Tea Party re-enactments and attended each of the North End feasts. I take the week of Patriots day (a Boston holiday) to volunteer at the Boston Marathon (mi. 17). Whenever I travel somewhere new, I always look into how it got to be where it is today.
I speak with passion
I learned public speech early in high school and college. I'm comfortable in front of three to 3000 people to talk about work or an interesting topic. I love to share, gather feedback and intake reactions. I have a knack for understanding body language, so if we meet in person just know I'll be paying close attention.
